Miller Children’s Hospital Kicks Off  Tour Of Long Beach With Tricycle Race

April 10, 2012 – On April 4, Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach pediatric cancer patients raced tricycles around the main driveway of the hospital to kick off the BikeFest and Tour of Long Beach, two bicycle events in the city scheduled for May. Proceeds from the Tour of Long Beach benefit pediatric cancer research as well as the patients at the Jonathan Jacques Children’s Cancer Clinic (JJCCC) at Miller Children’s Hospital. During the event, patients rode alongside, from left, Dr. Ramesh Patel, pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Miller Children’s Hospital; Dr. Divya Joshi, chief medical officer at Miller Children’s Hospital; and Tour of Long Beach co-founder Tony Cruz, 2000 U.S. Olympian and professional cyclist.
