November 6, 2012 – Popular consumer-generated information guide Zagat has announced the results of its 2013 Los Angeles Restaurant Survey, naming Michael’s On Naples the Best Italian Restaurant in Los Angeles. The restaurant also made Zagat’s Top 10 list as the number two dining destination in Los Angeles County. “Long Beach is often overlooked by restaurant writers and critics, but we have a vibrant dining scene,” Michael Dene, proprietor of Michael’s On Naples Ristorante and the adjacent Michael’s Pizzeria, said in a statement. Massimo Aronne, general manager and sommelier for Michael’s On Naples, agreed. “It’s always nice to be recognized for your efforts,” Aronne said in a statement. Michael’s Pizzeria also received recognition as the Zagat Guide editor’s choice for Best Pizza in Los Angeles. Zagat 2013 Los Angeles Restaurants Survey covered almost 2,100 restaurants in Los Angeles, Palms Springs, Santa Barbara and Orange County, with more than 18,000 customer participants.
