The Lesson Lab

December 4, 2012 – The Lesson Lab opened on November 5 at 5373 E. Village Rd., Suite A, in Northeast Long Beach, offering private and group music lessons in piano, guitar, bass, banjo, drums, steel drums, vocals and more. The faculty at The Lesson Lab is comprised of professional educators and musicians, who have several years of experience. “So many students are deterred from studying music because of financial concerns, access to instruments, or the continuing decay of music programs within the school system,” according to The Lesson Lab’s website. “We are not interested in replacing school programs! The Lesson Lab will work with local band and vocal teachers to support the curriculum offered in the schools, with a focus on teaching music fundamentals, ensemble playing and practice skills.” The Lesson Lab is open from 2:30-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 2:30-6 p.m. on Friday, and on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 562/477-3573 or visit www.thelessonlab.org.
