April 9, 2013 – Sacred Roots Holistic Healing was formed in the fall of 2012 with the intention of creating an alternative healing hub in Long Beach, according to co-founder Kailey Outram. Outram said she partnered with Jocelyn Fee and Jenny Ahn “with the common goal of opening our arms and allowing professionals a space to practice their passion, as well as creating an alternative health venue for the public and practitioners alike to engage in educational workshops.” Outram is a certified massage therapist; Fee is a massage therapist and yoga instructor; and Ahn is a yoga instructor and ayurvedic practitioner. Alternative healing professional Adrienne Martinez-Villegas of Healing Radiance practices reiki, a Japanese healing art, at Sacred Roots. Sacred Roots, located at 319 Redondo Ave., offers Ayurveda, meditation, acupuncture, massage therapy, somatic therapy, energetic healing, non-invasive chiropractic, an urban sweat lodge and conscious based workshops. Every third Saturday, Sacred Roots hosts a community clinic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with discounted services of $20 to $40 offered. Otherwise services are available by appointment only.
