April 9, 2013 – Just off the beaten path of Belmont Shore’s 2nd Street, Tom Rue and Celsa Sanchez opened Celsa’s Orchids & Pottery on February 14. The shop, located at 190 Park Ave., boasts a wide range of orchids, from dendrobium, cattleya, cymbidium and others. Celsa’s also sells succulents, houseplants, palm trees, pottery, terrariums and water fountains. Celsa’s also creates custom floral arrangements, including bouquets and centerpieces. The two started the business because the orchids in their yard exploded into dozens upon dozens of plants. Sanchez has experience running a flower shop, as she owned and operated one about 10 years ago in Garden Grove. Celsa’s Orchids & Pottery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
