Trebor Nevets 5th Anniversary

August 13, 2013 – Furniture and interior design studio TREBOR/NEVETS owners Steven Sarinana, left, and Robert Murphy celebrate five years in business at 2116 E. 4th St. on Retro Row this year. “Our main location was in Los Angeles for many years,” Sarinana told the Business Journal. “We had a design studio in Downtown Long Beach already, but it wasn’t a retail environment. We, much by chance, needed to move, and ended up opening a retail store on Retro Row in the midst of a down economy. It was the worst time, but it was the best decision we could have made. . . . We feel like we have been part of the evolution of 4th Street by being here and doing what we do but also being involved in the business association. It has allowed us to build a local client base that we didn’t have before. It’s been a great experience.” In conjunction with the five-year anniversary, TREBOR/NEVETS completed its second expansion since opening in 2008. The business provides home furnishing and décor items for live, work and play areas, including custom-designed, limited edition and vintage pieces. The store is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Open Monday by appointment only. For more information, call 562/901-0600 or visit www.trebornevets.com.
