Tattered Long Beach

October 8, 2013 – Shoppers have a new place to bargain hunt in Long Beach. Tattered, a store specializing in recycled fashion, opened in the Los Altos Center at 5555 E. Stearns St., Suite 106, on September 30. Pictured are Leah Zahn and her husband, Matt Turek, owners, whose store offers a mix of used clothing as well as fashion from independent designers based in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Turek said Zahn has always had a passion for resale, and wanted to create a “community-based” store with specialized items, such as the purses at right, and an intimate boutique atmosphere. Tattered buys used clothes, offering 40 percent cash back of their selling price or 50 percent back in store credit. “That’s higher than most other resale stores,” Turek said. Those looking to sell must be 18 or older with a valid photo I.D. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Tattered, call 562/431-4001 or visit www.facebook.com/tatteredtrading.
