Atun Sushi Long Beach

December 3, 2013 – Bixby Knolls residents Greg Carpenter and Talun Hsu noticed that a full-service sushi bar was missing from the business corridor along Atlantic Avenue. In an effort to help bring another restaurant option to the community, the duo decided to open Atun, a sushi, yakitori and izkaya bar, at 4262 Atlantic Ave. Yakitori is a variety of meats and vegetables grilled on skewers, similar to kabobs. Izkaya is a type of Japanese drinking establishment that serves food. Atun offers traditional dishes served with added flair of French and Italian, served atop Himalayan salt blocks for flavor.
