Bixby Knolls Welcomes Long Beach Cyclery

December 20 – Long Beach Cyclery opened on December 3 in Bixby Knolls at 3756 Long Beach Blvd. Known throughout the cycling community as “Turtle” or “Tortuga,” owner Brian Keate, pictured, launched the bicycle shop after witnessing enthusiasm for the activity quickly spreading throughout Long Beach, especially in the neighborhood of Bixby Knolls. Having owned and operated La Habra Cyclery in its namesake city for over 10 years, Keate recognized the need for a business that would fulfill the bicycle-loving community’s every need. The full service shop offers repairs and tune-ups for the two-wheeled transportation of its customers, in addition to retailing bicycles from manufacturers such as Cannondale, Focus and KHS. Long Beach Cyclery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed Sunday and Monday. For more information, call 562/427-9900.
