Honoring First Transcontinental Flight


December 20 – City officials, the Long Beach Airport and JetBlue Airways honored the 100th anniversary of Calbraith “Cal” Perry Rodgers’ first coast-to-coast flight from Sheepshead Bay, New York, to Long Beach made 100 years ago on December 10, 1911.
