SammaDitthi Meditation Studio Opens On North Pine Avenue

Sammaditthi Meditation Studio

January 17, 2012 – The SammaDitthi Meditation Studio opened on North Pine Avenue in October at 851 Pine Ave., Suite 111. The non-profit grassroots Buddhist organization’s goal is to deliver the calming benefits of meditation to the city’s community through its individual and group classes. To accommodate the limited schedules many individuals face, the studio also offers to bring its meditative sessions right to a client’s place of work. While many meditation courses last several weeks, SammaDitthi has developed techniques to shorten the session without affecting the meditation’s outcome. “We see stress everywhere we look,” Director Todd Cornell, pictured center, said in a statement. “But you don’t have to be a Buddhist monk to experience the health benefits of meditation. Even brief courses in meditative techniques make a difference, and the benefits are realized immediately.” SammaDitthi is open Wednesday from 7:30-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information or to schedule a session, visit www.sammaditthi.org or call 562/888-0368. (Photograph by the Business Journal’s Thomas McConville)
