January 17, 2012 – FreeSpirit Yoga, located in Bixby Knolls at 3910 Atlantic Ave., celebrated its 10-year anniversary serving the Long Beach community on January 7. Owned by partners Veronica Silva and Denise Birtch, who took ownership of the studio on January 1 from founder Andrea Testa, FreeSpirit features classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners, in addition to Pilates and a variety of workshops and retreats. The establishment also features classes that promote bonding between parents and their pre-crawling babies through yoga, and, according to the owners, is the only local studio to host prenatal yoga classes. Each of FreeSpirit’s teachers are equipped with various experience, training and certifications from a number of schools, centers and studios.
