January 17, 2012 – Babette Bakery, located at 1404 Atlantic Ave., recently expanded both its location and its menu options. After supplying the Long Beach community with baked goods for more than 19 years, owners Christian and Elizabeth Rebufat decided it was time for a change. “Expanding our business gave us the opportunity to rejuvenate ourselves,” Elizabeth Rebufat said. “We’ve been successful with our bakery over the years, so we’re excited to add on a café menu and really do it right.” Extending its sights beyond freshly baked bread, gourmet pastries and sandwiches, the bakery broadened its menu to include a variety of items such as homemade soups, quiches, crepes, chicken burgers and more. It also increased its in-store dining area by purchasing the business next door, adding an additional 1,500 square feet to the bakery’s 2,000-square-foot residence.
